I've just created the Kingdom of Forceana. Click the link to see its factsheet. No custom flag yet, using Spain's.
LOL, how cool! My Kingdom is almost exactly how I like it! All I need to do is to fix ecology (I really need to do this), and maybe add social security, if I can.
I'll soon add a custom flag. The national currency is the Sakura (let's say 100 Sakuras = 1 Euro).
I almost made Pikachu my national animal, but I finally chose cats. Cats are cool!
My national motto means "Long live Forceana!" in Spanish, with an historical right-wing tint ("?Arriba Espa?a!" was usually used by right-wingers, while "?Viva Espa?a!" is used by anyone who is not a republican or communist shame [note to US people: Spanish republican ≠ US republicans; if you want more details just ask]).
Oh, and it's an officially atheist state (you are free to believe whatever you want, as long as it's not sexist (i.e. official islam is out), you fund your thing yourself, you aren't an integrist, and you don't cause any trouble).
You can freely enter the country if you come from European countries (note: Turkey is NOT European, and will never be), USA, Mexico, Canada, China, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Russia, Australia, New Zealand, and some other countries. If you want the citizenship, you need to bring in some anime and videogames for us and we'll adopt you. Wait, this paragraph is nonsense, these countries don't exist in NationStates.net ?_? .
You can visit it anytime, I'll give you some Sakuras to spend [img]biggrin.gif[/img] .

Dang, now crime is a problem, it wasn't yesterday when I had 1 million people less. I don't know what will the game allow me to do, but I'd fight crime with education, faster judicial system, much harsher penalties, worse jails, and forced work in jail to pay all this.
Can you join otheres? How exactly does it work? The countries just automatically gain and lose things?

So as you can see, you do have rights and freedoms, and we do have a strong economy. It works by presenting you issues (I have mine set to two a day, do it in the settings tab if you don't know how) and you read it over and pass laws based on what people say, for example...

I accepted the second one, but it's a hard choice. I want gambling for certain ages, but hey, if the kids want to gamble, I suppose I should let them.
IRT Xellos: No, you can't, at least not normally. You can create your own country, then rule it. You rule it by setting your political orientation through several questions at creation, then facing an issue every day, and setting your flag and motto at your will. Depending on what you decide, is what you get, though politics are exaggerated sometimes. And that's all that it's to the basic system. Then there's the forums (and international telegrams), where you can roleplay for wars, alliances, etc. I haven't gotten into these, and I don't think I will, because I have no time to read all that. If your countries are at war, we may ally though, I wouldn't mind. Note: everything I talk about inviting others, having a constitution, etc. is actually nonsense, we can't have all that but it's fun to think so.
Today's issue for me was if I would aprove a nazi event in the center of the imperial capital. The choices were obvious - yes, because we have freedom of expression and are mature enough to face it even if we disagree, and no, this is ridiculous, we can't let nazis encourage crime and death. (You can also dismiss it and not take any action.) I declined it: we'll have the acts I feel like having, and I don't feel like having a nazi act, end of the story. Freedom of expression is subject to legality and my constitution (which I wrote), and it outlawed nazis because, while I agree with them in some things, I disagree with them in some others. For example, I'm not a racist.
